The return of the Harlem based rapper Cam'ron was has always eagerly anticipated, especially after his signing with the lucrative Roc-A-Fella Records, which is home to Jay-Z and the ROC. His third album "Come Home with Me" has arrived and is spear headed with his first single, "Oh Boy" featuring Juelz Santana, which is currently getting heavy spins on the circuit. The new album enhances quality production from Just Blaze, Ty Fyffe, Leland Robinson, Mike T, DR Period, and Daz with guest appearances from Jay-Z, McGruff, Memphis Bleek, Beanie Sigel, Juelz Santana, Tiffany, DJ Kay Slay, and Jim Jones. The album "Come home with me" is a fitting welcome to Cam'ron's new home and is what we expect from Roc-A- Fella records. The deep tracks relating to life experiences with simple hooks and heavy baselines holds up well and Cam'ron's flow compliments the music perfectly. "Day Dreaming" is a refreshing break in the album as Cam alongside Tiffany Carlin use the break from Aretha Franklin's "Daydreaming" to reproducing a smooth version of the rare classic. Jay-Z personally welcomes Cam'ron with an impressive cameo on the stand out monster track "Welcome to New York City" helped again by Juelz Santana. This is a deep anthem which is a front runner for the best track of the album. The cameo which stands out is the artist Juelz Santana who is featured on many tracks including "Losing Control Part 2", album title track "Come home with me" and of course the hit "Oh Boy". It is easy to tell Juelz Santana's album is hot on the heels of Cam's. Other noticeable tracks include the bouncing club tune "Dead or Alive", the warming "Tomorrow" and the delectable "Boy Boy" What separates this album from others and is the variation of the chosen tunes, with catchy rare groove and party joints which help to make this album fit for all. Not as dark as some of the previous albums on the label, but there is also enough 'head bangers' to keep the real Hip Hop heads interested. Though this not Jay-Z's-Blueprint', but it is more than a suitable addition to the ROC-A-Fella family with the Harlem kid Cam'ron and is set for a great return. Personal Favourite Tracks: 3. Oh
Boy (Feat Juelz Santana)
